Serbia: Schoenherr advises Sun Valley and Oaktree on acquisition of Victoria Oil

Schoenherr advised Sun Valley, a Serbian company co-owned by Mr. Vaja Jhashi, an agri. entrepreneur with business operations in Moldova, Ukraine and Romania, and funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management (UK) LLP, a leader among global investment managers specialising in alternative investments, on the acquisition of 100 % of the share capital of Victoria Oil from the Victoria Group.
The financial terms of the transaction remain confidential.
Schoenherr advised on both the acquisition and financing aspects of the deal. The team provided the full range of buy-side advice, from due diligence, transaction structuring, acquisition and trade financing, up to the signing and closing.
The Schoenherr team was led by partners Matija Vojnović and Vojimir Kurtić, and included attorneys-at-law Jelena Arsić and Dušan Obradović, supported by Mina Mihaljčić (attorney at law) and Jovana Rubežić (associate).
