Schoenherr advises UniCredit Bank on first mini-bond issuance in Serbia

Moravčević Vojnović and partners in cooperation with Schoenherr advised UniCredit Bank Serbia on the landmark issuance of the first-ever mini-bond in Serbia. The Bank acted as both issuance agent and investor in a transaction that marks an important step in the development of Serbia's capital markets.

The mini-bond was issued by a long-standing corporate client of UniCredit, with a five-year maturity. This innovative instrument introduces an alternative to traditional bank loans and is designed to better serve the financing needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are traditionally reliant on bank lending.

This issuance has been warmly welcomed by the Serbian Ministry of Finance as a step toward deepening the domestic capital market and broadening access to finance for the real economy. It sets a regulatory and commercial precedent for future mini-bond issuances.
